Brominated SBS is a high molecular brominated flame retardant prepared by bromination of styrene butadiene block copolymer (SBS). It has the characteristics of high molecular weight, frost resistance, high thermal stability, migration resistance, environmental friendliness, etc. Its structure is similar to polystyrene to a certain extent, so it has good compatibility with polystyrene. As a flame retardant, it can replace hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD) and is widely used in expandable polystyrene (EPS) and extruded polystyrene foam (XPS).
