Applications

The mixture of calcium zinc bromide (CaBr2-ZnBr2) is usually prepared with about 55% zinc bromide and about 20% calcium bromide. In oilfield operations, it is mainly used for well repair, completion, and sealing fluids that require a density range of up to 2.3. It can also be mixed with low-density saltwater to achieve applications that require specific density and crystallization temperature.
